Jackie earned a Master of Health Science in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research focuses on health disparities, social determinants of health, and the environmental factors that influence health outcomes, particularly among vulnerable populations.
Jackie began her career as a Community Health Worker, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges faced by underserved communities. This role deepened her commitment to addressing health inequities by tackling the broader social and environmental factors that shape health. During graduate school, Jackie worked on projects bridging academic research and community needs. She contributed to a Baltimore-based Community Law Center initiative, using ArcGIS to map neighborhoods undergoing urban renewal. Her work highlighted how housing and environmental conditions intersect with health outcomes in affected communities. With expertise in both community engagement and data analysis, Jackie translates health data into actionable insights for public health initiatives. She has experience collecting, managing, and interpreting data across academic, community, and research settings.
Her ongoing research and career aspirations center on understanding the social and environmental determinants of health to reduce disparities and improve public health outcomes.
